We used to have a list of X errors we should ignore in case they do
occur. This commit expands that functionality to also allow us aborting
on certain errors.

Downstream code expect wid_get_text_prop to return at least 1 string.
However wid_get_text_prop would return 0 strings when the property is
set to an empty string.

Of course, we still use GLX, so we can't completely remove Xlib yet. But
this removes all Xlib uses outside of the backends.
This drops support for COMPOUND_TEXT Xorg strings, so people how wants
multilingual support has to use UTF8, which should be fine since most of
the applications support that.

Rename `popcountl` to `popcntul` to avoid name conflicts with NetBSD
system headers.
Remove the unused `popcount` function.

x_print_error aborts the program when it sees a redirect_subwindow
failure. A function called x_print_error really shouldn't cause the
program to terminate.

1) config file path. Has to implement compatibility functionalities before
we can change it.
2) links in man pages. Has to migrate the repo first.
3) _COMPTON_SHADOW, it has become a defacto standard, so we have to keep
supporting it.

During normalization of the kernel, the center element is added to the
sum twice, causing the resulting elements to be smaller than they should
be.

After converting from struct conv to xorg format, cache the result to
save CPU time.
And remove an unused function.

Instead of storing them as an array of xfixed.
Might cause some performance overhead for the new backend, because
it is allocating a buffer to do the conversion every frame. Will fix
later.

As a global variable, since they shouldn't change during the period
compton is running. Also limit the scope of the variable to x.c.
